Friends of IMPJ WHO ARE WE?
The Friends of the Israel Movement for Reform and Progressive Judaism (IMPJ) is a national non-profit 501 (c) (3) charitable organization created to invest in Israel through the IMPJ:
We exist to connect passionate American Jews, including Reform, Reconstructionist and unaffiliated, with likeminded Israelis seeking to practice Judaism in communities of inclusion, equality and freedom.
We provide financial and moral support to the IMPJ as it carries out its mission “to integrate Jewish tradition with the realities of modern life.”
We endorse and applaud the IMPJ’s commitment to “the right of each individual to shape their own Jewish way of life through a process of study and reflection.”
The Friends of IMPJ investments also seed new Reform and Progressive communities in Israel. We help provide resources for their rabbis and lay leaders as they build Reform and Progressive congregations and educational centers that will transform Israeli society today and into the future.
Your investment in the IMPJ will also help it continue to fund its Israel Religious Action Center (IRAC), the leading civil and human rights organization in Israel. Whether donating through the IMPJ or directly to IRAC, your investment has resulted in many legal victories for equality of non-Orthodox organizations, individuals, and other groups in Israel.
“The Reform movement in Israel is growing, with more Israelis turning to it as a viable option to both Orthodoxy and secularism, and with an increasing impact on public discourse.”
Join us to ensure that IMPJ has the ability to create institutions and to advocate for an Israel of equality for all Jews.
